Desert Harvest® Super-Strength Concentrated Freeze-Dried Aloe Vera Capsules
Desert Harvest Super-Strength Freeze-Dried Aloe Vera capsules contain 600 milligrams of 100% organic freeze-dried aloe vera leaf and gel containing 200 milligrams of active ingredients each including mannose known to help with Urinary Tract Infection (UTI) prevention after treatment.
Desert Harvest’s patented process ensures the highest quality and potency of polysaccharides, glycoproteins, amino acids, vitamins and enzymes. By removing the anthraquinones, the latex chemicals in the aloe plant that cause diarrhea, Super-Strength Aloe Vera supplements are gentle and highly effective for those with pelvic pain, bladder pain and inflammation associated with Interstitial Cystitis (IC), Painful Bladder Syndrome (PBS), Overactive Bladder (OAB), recurrent urinary tract infections (UTI) and additional autoimmune related conditions.
What is Interstitial Cystitis / Painful Bladder Syndrome?
The wall of the bladder is protected by a layer of molecules called proteoglycans, also called glycosaminoglycans (GAG). Underneath the GAG layer is a layer of cells called the urothelium. In certain bladder conditions such as IC / PBS, both of the layers can be disrupted. Once they feel the trigger by an insult in the bladder, they send the message to the submucosa, the layer right behind the urothelial cell that is rich in nerves and mast cells. Activated mast cells release histamine and cytokines in the blood, which can lead to chronic bladder irritation, pain, frequency and urgency.
Desert Harvest Super-Strength Aloe Vera Capsules have been shown to naturally coat the bladder lining to help with pain, frequency and urgency relief.
- 92% of IC/PBS patients self-reported that they ‘experienced relief’ with concentrated Desert Harvest oral aloe vera.
- 63% of patients reported substantial (moderate or significant) improvement in urgency and frequency of urination
- 69% of patients reported substantial improvement in pelvic pain
- 68% of patients reported substantial improvement in urethral burning
A 180 capsule bottle is a 30-day supply (90 capsules will last 15 days). Recommended dose is 6 capsules per day. While some people see immediate results, it may take up to 3 months or more to experience the full benefits of aloe vera capsules. We recommend taking Super Strength Aloe Vera capsules for at least three months to experience the best results. If you have a sensitive stomach or your bladder symptoms are made worse with foods, we recommend that you take a calcium glycerophosphate supplement along with your dose of our Super Strength Aloe Vera Capsules. Lab tests show they work better than any other form of calcium in raising the pH of foods to avoid stomach discomfort.
100% vegan, Kosher certified, gluten free, starch free and non-GMO, our all-natural aloe vera pills have no artificial fillers or preservatives and are free of common allergens. Manufactured in a USA facility under strict cGMP and ISO 9000 certification.

Dosage Recommendations for IC / PBS
Desert Harvest Super-Strength Aloe Vera works best for IC / PBS in the correct dosage (as discovered in the 1995 Phase I double blind placebo clinical trial) which is 3600 mg per day = 6 capsules (3 capsules in the a.m. / 3 capsules in the p.m.). IC patients see pain, urgency and frequency results between 2 weeks and 3 months. It takes time for the GAG layer to build up.
Interstitial Cystitis / Painful Bladder Syndrome (IC/PBS) patients in the first Double Blind placebo controlled clinical trial took 6 Desert Harvest Super-Strength freeze-dried aloe vera capsules per day for three months, 3 capsules in the morning and 3 in the evening (about 12 hours apart) with a full 8-ounce glass of liquid. It does not matter whether you take the aloe vera with food or without. It works the same either way. Additionally, based on our anecdotal findings with more than 50,000 IC/PBS patients and a 2016 Survey Analysis, the dosage recommendations for best results with pain, frequency and urgency relief are:
Month One: 6 capsules per day (3 in the morning and 3 in the evening). If you are symptom free after the first 30 days, continue taking 6 capsules a day for the next 2 months. However, if you still have some symptoms after the first 30 days, move to Month Two.
Month Two: 9 capsules per day (3 in the morning, 3 in the afternoon, and 3 in the evening). If you are symptom free after 60 days, continue taking 9 capsules a day for the third month. However, if you still have some symptoms, move to Month Three.
Month Three: 12 capsules per day (4 in the morning, 4 in the afternoon, and 4 in the evening). If the symptoms do not respond within 3 months while following the 6/9/12 dosage recommendations, we assume that you are one of the 12.5% of patients who will not respond to the aloe vera at all.
Maintenance Dose: After three months, the daily dose can be decreased by one capsule per week until symptoms return (for instance, week one: take 5 capsules per day, week two: take 4 capsules per day, week three: take 3 capsules per day). When you notice symptoms, increase the daily dose by one capsule and continue on this maintenance dose. If you experience a bad symptom day, a burst of 3 to 6 extra capsules at any time of day may bring symptoms back under control for many IC/PBS patients. It is safe to take 21 capsules or more per day.
Flare-ups: We recommend 6 capsules every 4 hours until you have your symptoms back under control. Most people only have to take the first 6 capsules.
